BleachBright Teeth Whitening

How does BleachBright work?
We fit you with a one-size-fits all double sided mouthpiece which is impregnated with a special whitening gel. A blue spectrum LED is positioned between the upper and lower teeth. Carbamide Peroxide and oxygen are transformed into water molecules and free oxygen radicals. The oxygen radicals combined with carbon-based molecules then clear stains on the teeth. The process will penetrate tooth enamel, but will not damage it.

How long will this process last?
We typically recommend a maintenance treatment every 6 months or 2 years. It is recommended that you care for your newly whitened teeth with the specially formulated KeepBright Pen.

What are the typical results, and how long is each session?
Results are variable and dependent on the individual (everyone is different). How stained your teeth are combined with your age can affect results, but generally we recommend a 15-20 minute treatment.

How often should I use the KeepBright Pen for maintenance?
Daily maintenance is recommended, especially for special events, dates, and/or engagements, or anytime you are meeting with the public.

Is BleachBright safe?
Research has shown that if the teeth and gums are normal and healthy there are no adverse effects to bleaching one’s teeth. It is important that each BleachBright dosage meets legal limits and are not excessive or administered in an unprofessional manner. People with tooth decay and with any type of gum disease should avoid this treatment. As a precaution, pregnant women should never undergo treatment as there is no reliable data regarding adverse short or long-term effects.

Who may benefit from the BleachBright system?
Individuals with health teeth and gums derive the most benefit. It is always good to keep in mind that teeth cannot be bleached whiter than is genetically possible. It should also be noted that Tetracycline stains can not be removed, including stains resulting from fluoride use or porous teeth.

Will BleachBright whiten crowns, composites, bridges or veneers?
No, but the standard procedure is to first whiten all adjacent teeth and to then wait two weeks for the color to stabilize. Once the color stabilizes we recommend that you go to your dentist and have your crown matched to the new shade of your teeth. Note: If a crown has been in place for many years, the whitening process can return the rest of the teeth to the original shade prior to the crown placement. The same goes for composites, bridges, and veneers.

Are the bleaching products in BleachBright the same as that used by dentists?
Yes. BleachBright’s dentistry partner supplies a great deal of product to dentist offices throughout the USA. Note however that the carbamide peroxide, although at legal limits, are in many cases more potent than what your dentist will supply. The key to the success of the BleachBright whitening system is the blue light technology which increases the potency of whitening in fraction of the time and cost.

What causes stains?
Some teeth are naturally pigmented or stained as they develop. Typically, stains come from exposure to tea, coffee, smoking, juices, colas, wine, age, or just about anything that would stain a white t-shirt. This is why we highly recommend the KeepWhite Pen to stay bright.

Are there any side effects?
Some people may feel a little tingling sensation, white gum line or sensitivity, all of which are normal and hold no real danger. Typically, this will only last from a couple of hours (not to exceed 24 hours).

How long before I can eat or drink after my treatment?
The first 24 hours we would recommend to avoid coffee, tea, dark colored sodas, red wines, berries, candy, red sauces, beets, or any foods that have the propensity to stain. Remember if it leaves a t-shirt stained it will stain your teeth.
